Ebenezer Scrooge’s Gravestone in Shropshire, England
“A Christmas Carol” starring George C Scott as Scrooge was filmed on location in Shrewsbury and broadcast on CBS in the United States and released in theaters in the UK in December 1984.  An original gravestone, the details long weathered away, was used for the fictional memorial to Ebenezer Scrooge. It still lies just beyond the towering Yew Tree,  in the graveyard beside St Chad's Church.
