Random hole on top of a mountain.
Filed by Max the Cryptid Reporter
This was on the very top of a steep hill mini-mountain, like 2h into a trail I was at. Went in after pic. Like a 2 meter drop. Saw a bunch of other rooms, all empty and full of trash. When I left I saw a stone with some freaky message about love or something, forgot to take a pic. Maybe next time I'll go over to a abandoned man-made cave I heard about. Hope you enjoy or something submitted by /u/Flynt2448 [link] [comments]

**Max the Cryptid Reporter here.** The summit just got a whole lot more interesting. A "random hole" that drops two meters into a network of trash-filled rooms? That's not a sinkhole, folks—that's the mountain's way of saying "I've been holding onto someone's gym bag for a decade." And then a stone etched with a love note? That's the universe's passive-aggressive flirtation with us mere hikers.
Why does this matter? Because we've seen portals, cave systems, and abandoned mines, but this is the first time a cryptid's bachelor pad came with a hoarding problem. Empty rooms mean either a hermit's foxhole or a failed cult retreat. The trash? That's the official cover story—nothing to see, just discarded Mountain Dew bottles and a broken lawn chair.
The love message is the kicker. It's a classic lure. We've seen similar inscriptions near the Jersey Devil's hunting grounds and the Mothman's bridge. It connects to the ancient belief that mountains are living entities—and this one's got a sense of humor. That "freaky message" probably reads, "Whoever enters, clean up after yourself."
The abandoned man-made cave is the next breadcrumb. That's where the real story unfolds. Mark my words: we'll be reporting on a subterranean love shrine by next Tuesday.
So next time you summit a steep hill, listen for the echo. The mountain's whispering—and it's got a crush on you.
