Lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood has told the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) that he paid for the brother of former NSW premier Dominic Perrottet to travel to Fiji, and separately urged the CEO of Catholic Schools NSW to "go to Brisbane" — moves allegedly designed to avoid scrutiny from a parliamentary committee. Greenwood, a Liberal figure under investigation over claims of illegal political donations, gave evidence about allegations linking members of the Reformers group to kickbacks from a lobbying company's Catholic Schools NSW contract. The hearing, reported by The Guardian, exposes the informal channels through which lobbyists may seek to influence or shield political figures during accountability processes.
